FAQ

What should I wear? On the whole, our congregation's dress is relaxed and casual. We encourage you to wear what makes you comfortable.

Do you have a program for children? Yes! We have staffed nursery and preschool rooms with secure check-in, parent notification systems, and trained and background screened volunteers. From the earliest ages, we want our children to know that God loves them and cares for them. Our older children join us for the first part of our worship service and then are dismissed to participate in age appropriate environments with an interactive curriculum designed to help them understand God’s story of sending Jesus for our rescue and redemption.

What are your services like? We worship God through singing, reading the Bible, listening to a message from one of our Pastors who teaches from the Bible in a relaxed and applicable way. Christ followers are invited to observe communion (or the Lord’s Supper.)

What if I am new to attending church? Don’t worry—we design our services with people like you in mind. You won’t be expected to know any insider language, and you won’t be singled out or made to feel awkward. In fact, we will explain everything we are doing as we go through our service so that you will feel comfortable. You’ll be glad to know that there are others who are new to attending church with us each weekend. You’re not alone.

What kind of church is The Groves Church Churches are typically described in terms of how they express themselves. Words like contemporary, traditional, family oriented, energetic, or reflective help to give an idea of the personality of the church. But church is much more than the personality or style it expresses. We describe our church in this way: We are a Gospel Centered, Missional, and Multiplying Church. Gospel Centered—our primary focus is the gospel or good news of Jesus Christ. Missional—we are missionaries, our mission is to help people know that God loves them and to work for the redemption and restoration of our neighborhoods, communities, cities, country and world. Multiplying—we make Disciples who make other Disciples. We are seeking to plant more gospel communities and churches in our area, region and world.
